There are literally thousands of children's music artists writing, recording and publishing their songs for little kids. The amount of websites promoting the entertainment of young children via the medium of music is phenomenal.

When writing songs for little kids most artists are careful not to use any minor chords or sad sounding chords. The music is usually very upbeat and lyrics repetitive and happy to the point of sometimes being nonsensical and annoying.

Some songs tell a detailed story, using highly descriptive words to paint the scene, while others will repeat a simple phrase over and over. A lot of songs for little kids will have an accompanying dance and the lyrics of the song will usually include the actions involved in the dance to prompt the groover.
